Kitty Xu graduated from China Shenyang Music Academy majoring in dance and Beijing PLA Academy of Arts. To launch her dance teaching career, she worked as a dance instructor at Beijing Dance Academy. She has also choreographed dance performances for China Central TV.  Kitty was the lead singer of a famous Chinese band, Her Her Guo. Their top single, Wang Qiu Pai Pai, won multiple awards including MTV Video. She performed in multiple TV shows throughout China, such as Tong Yi Shou Ge and Da Di Fei Ge.  Kitty Xu has won various awards including Best Choreography and Teacher of the Year awards.
